LAKEISHA D. HOWARD

LaKeisha D. Howard

Combat Veteran | Counselor | Entrepreneur | Minister | Servant Leader | Survivor

LaKeisha Howard is the embodiment of faith in action, a U.S. Air Force combat veteran, compassionate leader, and resilient survivor whose life is defined by unwavering service and love. With over two decades in uniform, LaKeisha served her country with honor and strength. Today, she continues that mission as a dedicated professional within the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, where she has held numerous impactful roles supporting fellow service members and their families.

LaKeisha lives by the mantra: “I’ve never met a stranger because everyone is family.” This heart-centered approach defines every space she enters. Her life’s work centers around healing, empowerment, and holistic care. As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, LaKeisha leads several ventures across real estate brokerage, clinical mental health counseling, life and wellness coaching, mentorship, and ministry. She is also a certified End-of-Life Doula, offering comfort and spiritual presence to individuals and families during life’s most sacred transitions.

In 2020, LaKeisha earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating Summa Cum Laude a reflection of her commitment to lifelong learning and service. But her true degree comes from life itself. In 1999, while she was pregnant with her youngest of seven children, LaKeisha was diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine cancer. In the 20+ years since, she has faced and defied recurring cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, hearing loss, and other chronic diagnoses. Through it all, her spirit remains unshaken. Her faith is her anchor. Her purpose is her guide.

A proud wife, mother to seven amazing adult children, and adoring “Nana” to seven beautiful grandchildren (her “Nana Boos”), LaKeisha lives each day with intentionality, courage, and joy. She honors her journey not only by surviving but by transforming every obstacle into an opportunity to uplift others.

LaKeisha carries forward a powerful legacy of faith, family, and fortitude. In tribute to her beloved mother, Anita R. Temple, LaKeisha founded Anita’s Wellness and End-of-Life Concierge Services, LLC, along with the nonprofit organizations Mothering the Mother and Motherless, Inc. and We Gotchu Corporation.

Through these initiatives, she offers holistic support to those navigating life's most vulnerable moments, providing compassionate care, comfort, emotional support and connection. These are safe spaces for individuals and families navigating grief, transition, and healing by providing comfort, dignity, and support rooted in unconditional love

Whether serving her country, guiding others through hardship, or building community through love, LaKeisha Howard is a living example of grace in motion. Her mission is simple yet profound: To serve with heart, lead with purpose, and leave a legacy rooted in faith, dignity, and exemplify the blueprint of what unapologetic love looks like..
